Moving Day!

Welp, I have exciting news on this end! I am freshly moved to Western New York, into the sweet little house that you might have seen popping up in my social media recently! My partner moved in here last March, and we immediately fell in love with it. It's an adorable and quirky 500 square-foot cottage with a lofted bedroom, surrounded by trees and situated right on a pond:

It's about 45 minutes outside of Buffalo, and I'm excited to get to know WNY, especially the vegan scene! I've been coming out to the cottage for long stretches and slowly bringing my belongings in over the summer, but I'm still extremely excited to have moved in in earnest.

As someone who's been steadily downsizing for years, with the end goal of living in the tiny house, I was pretty pleased that it only took one trip and one chock-a-block Subie Outback to move my things in.

Speaking of, this is by no means an end to the journey with the tiny house. It's still tucked away safe, and there's a chance of moving it out here to the cottage, which would be great. I love the idea of rolling out of bed in the mornings and walking outside to work on the tiny.

The cottage (and big, comfy bean bag) both got approval from my favorite doggos over the summer, and Daisy took her first ever swim in our pond!

It's still a work in progress to make it our own, as we've been trying to favor thrifting and DIYing over buying new, but I really love the direction it's headed. There are a lot of things we can't change, like the really bananas flooring situation or the green sponge paint on the walls, but the gorgeous wood cabinets, the enormous windows, and the cozy bedroom loft make up for the quirks and then some. Thanks for checking out my new little home!
